Barry Neustadt, CPA is Tax Director for Madison 1031 and Diversified Capital. In his role at Madison 1031, Mr. Neustadt advises 1031 Exchange clients regarding the tax implications of their tax-deferred exchanges and interacts directly with their legal and accounting teams. As a seasoned CPA and tax accountant with significant tax and real estate experience, Mr. Neustadt is able to handle complex transactions, finding the most advantageous structure and method to attain the client’s required goals. He also assists clients with Reverse and Improvement Exchanges and their related tax implications.

Prior to joining Madison 1031 and Diversified Capital, Mr. Neustadt was a Tax Manager at a large national accounting firm. In that role, he garnered a wealth of experience advising investment partnerships and their investment management families. Most recently, he was CFO of a large commercial real estate holding and property management company.

Mr. Neustadt earned his Bachelor’s degree from Beth Medrash Govoha. And, he earned a Master’s degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. When Mr. Neustadt is not working, he is active in the community assisting the AAK International Relief organization and his local synagogue.
